Prerequisites

This course is for people with some blockchain knowledge. Check out this guide to review what a blockchain is.

Familiarity with the basic design of modern distributed software systems and common blockchain systems such as Bitcoin and Ethereum is also recommended. You do not need to know how to write code to successfully complete this course.

• Understand how Avalanche L1s enable scalability, customizability, and independence.
• Understand the Primary Network, a special Avalanche L1, and how to interact with it.
• Understand how Virtual Machines enable developers to create more optimized and capable blockchain systems and to tackle completely new use cases unachievable with previous solutions.
